2017 WECA Conference – Chula Vista Resort – Wisconsin Dells
A new way to learn, play and connect!
Save the date: Thursday November 10, Friday November 11
This year’s WECA Conference has a new format! Each of the two conference days will begin with lead presentations that are short, lively and packed with memorable information. Designed to be similar to TEDTalks® these high-energy sessions will focus on 6 distinct themes:
Social and Emotional Development
Leadership and Change
Racial & Social Justice
Infant and Toddler Development
Play-based Learning
STEM + Art = STEAM
As the day unfolds, workshops on the themes will be offered. The conference will blend “big ideas” from research and views from the field and best practices by child care teachers and providers. In between the talks, and the workshops will be many opportunities to connect in small groups, engage in experiential learning, play and explore real tools, books and materials.
If you have expertise in any of the 6 themes this conference is being built around, please consider submitting a workshop proposal for consideration. Listed below are details about submitting a proposal. We will only be accepting proposals that fall within our exciting distinct themes.
