Conference Idea – Martyn to present a workshop on using these new technologies in the classroom
for enquiries
Discussion of privacy issues – suggested best to include just teacher name and Port supporter etc – do not put a picture of yourself
Discussion agreed it can be used to enhance learning and should be used in conjunction with other methods
Harassment issues: teacher has a quick check each day – say it is being used to assess your communication – can delete offensive materials or comments

Agreed Suggestions of changes to Objects of LETASA March 4, 2010
To promote and provide support to legal education in schools in SA

To link with the broader legal community for teachers and students
Suggest next meeting we have 10 min discussion as some people apologies this evening and then formulate a motion for the proposed change at the AGM and Peter to write a paper in support to present at the next AGM August 2010.

And that we print 120 of everything to hand out as previously new curriculum biggest conference ever and printing extras at last minute very expensive and time consuming

Helen acknowledged Peter, Robin and Geof’s work at New SACE Stage 1 Seminar and Kathleen catering. Informal feedback everyone really appreciated the seminar.

Edmodo is an online learning tool which allows teachers to tap in to the student's use of websites and web based learning from home as well as at school. Through the site you can monitor student work, mark it and see how students work through the process. You can set up a class based page and give students the password so that they access it from home or school. Create assessments, homework, ideas, discussion groups or anything you wish.

Prezi is a form of presentation software that students can use. It's a form of digital storytelling without using slides.

Studysearch.com.au uses the power of Google's search engine combined with a growing database of educational websites. When a search is done Google checks our database and gives those sites priority in the search results. The student is still doing a full Google search but the results are tuned to display sites that are more relevant.

A timeline creator. With this site you can create timelines in relation to any topic or you can view those already made. This site is great as a digital classroom tool which teaches the skills necessary while using technology.

This can be downloaded from the Microsoft website for free. It is a great alternative to Powerpoint and allows students to easily add voice recordings to their work. It is another alternative for students to present their work
