WANTED RESIDENTIAL ACCOMMODATION
The National Biodiversity Authority, a statutory body under Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India, requires residential accommodation of around 1900 sq. ft. of carpet area on monthly rental basis, in the vicinity of South of Chennai city to house the official residence of Chairman, National Biodiversity Authority with all basic amenities and space for parking vehicles. Renting of premises will be subject to all Government of India rules in this regard. Premises located in the areas of Kottivakkam, Palavakkam, Neelankarai and Vettuvankeni will be preferred. Preference will be given to independent houses / bungalows. Other type of accommodation like Apartments / Flats will not be considered. Only owners may apply. Brokers please excuse.
Interested parties (only owners) may submit their sealed quotation in the format prescribed along with site and layout maps, floor plans to the Secretary, National Biodiversity Authority, TICEL Bio Park, 5th Floor, CSIR Road, Taramani, Chennai – 600 113 on or before 9th August, 2011 (Phone No.044-2254 2777). The National Biodiversity Authority reserves the right to accept or reject the offer without assigning any reasons.

The National Biodiversity Authority, Government of India, a statutory body established under Biological Diversity Act, 2002, requires around 1900 sq. ft. of carpet area on monthly rental basis, in the vicinity of South Chennai city to house the official residence of Chairman, National Biodiversity Authority.
The main requirements are:
1. The premises should be well ventilated.
2. The premises should have dedicated parking place for around 2 vehicles on an average. Premises should be fit and approved for the stature of a Chief Executive Officer equivalent in rank to the level Secretary. to Govt. of India.
3. The premises should have 24 hour water supply throughout the year, 3 phase power supply and full power back-up
4. Only Owners of individual bungalows / house may apply.
5. Renting of premises will be subject to all Central Government Rules in this regard.
6. Premises located in the area of Kottivakkam, Palavakkam, Neelankarai and Vettuvankeni will be preferred.

The envelope containing quotation should be super scribed “QUOTATION FOR RESIDENTIAL ACCOMMODATION” and should reach the Secretary, National Biodiversity Authority, TICELBio Park, 5th Floor, CSIR Road, Taramani, Chennai – 600 113 on or before 9thAugust, 2011 (Phone No.044-2254 2777).The National Biodiversity Authority reserves the right to accept or reject the offer without assigning any reasons.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Terms and Conditions of the quotation for hiring of residentialaccommodation for the National Biodiversity Authority, Chennai, on rental basis.
The National Biodiversity Authority, Chennai has been established under the Biological Diversity Act, 2002 and is a statutory body, with the concerned administrative Ministry being the Ministry of Environment and Forests. Residential space is required on rental initially for a period of two years with provision for extension by mutual consent. Offers are invited only from owners subject to the conditions mentioned hereinafter.
2. The accommodation should have a carpet area of around 1900 sq. ft., with the following features / amenities:
• Electricity connection with adequate electrical fixtures and full power back- up with provision for installation of independent meter / sub-meter.
• 24 hours good water supply throughout the year.
• Toilets attached to the rooms and separate in adequate numbers required.
• Dedicated parking space
• Premises should be adequately secured.
• Preference will be given to independent houses / bungalows only.
3. Specific requirements can be finalized with mutual agreement.
4. Owners should send their proposals in a sealed cover superscribing “QUOTATION FOR RESIDENTIAL ACCOMMODATION”addressed to The Secretary, NBA, 5th floor, TICEL Bio Park,Taramani, Chennai – 600 113.
5. Procedure for selection:
• The duly constituted Committee for evaluation of quotation will open the bids and evaluate the offers on the basis of suitability of the space offered. The offers found suitable will be short-listed. For this purpose, the Committee is free to take help of any expert, if required. The Committee may undertake inspection of house for evaluating the suitability of the house and its surroundings.
6.NBA is not bound to accept the offers made even if it is lowest.
7. The officials / committee will enter into negotiations with short-listed bidders / owners of the houses for finally fixing the lease rent.
8. NBA reserves the right to cancel the bids without assigning any reason.
