Resources will be available to help you structure and run your practices if needed. If you are interested in coaching, make sure you indicate as such when registering on-line. A member of the staff will contact you. If a coach has a child playing, his/her volunteer fee will be refunded in May 2013.

There will be a limit of two coaches for each recreational team. Non-coaching parents and siblings may help out the team during practices, but only coaches, with valid passes, are allowed to be on the bench during games.

Volunteer Coaches Training Sessions

The Recreational Director will be conducting training classes for all recreation coaches prior to the beginning of the season. A schedule of these classes will be sent out when all coaches are in place.

Special Requests:

Special requests for Coaches, Practice Nights, Practice Field Location, Players playing together etc. will be given consideration on all early registrations received during July 15-31. Placement on teams after the deadline will be based strictly on team and league needs and blind draw.

Grade Appropriate Policy:

If a player’s birth date is between Aug. 1 and the first regular season game day, the player may request Grade Appropriate Placement. These birth dates are the CPUSA guidelines and will allow Recreational players the option of playing with their school grade peers. Grade Appropriate Placement will be made depending upon availability in the requested age group. Grade Appropriate Placement cannot be made if the player’s birth date appropriate age group is older than the requested Grade Appropriate age group. No player is allowed to play in an age group younger than their birth date appropriate age group.

Note: Choosing Grade Appropriate Placement ordinarily will mean playing with and against players who are in the same school grade but who may be also as much as 12-14 months older.

Special Requests for playing up more than one age group:

Special Requests will not be honored by CPUSA in accordance with USYSA (United States Youth Soccer Association) and FYSA(Florida Youth Soccer Association) guidelines regarding the Recreational Division. USYSA and FYSA expressly prohibit recruiting or building Recreation Division teams. CPUSA is a member of both USYSA and FYSA; therefore CPUSA will abide with this guideline. CPUSA’s failure to comply may result in fines, penalties and/or suspension.
