This year we are doing something new. For the past fourteen years, LNA Day has been a five association event held on the State House lawn. The five associations have decided to put this event on hiatus until at least 2016, so HCANH has stepped up to the plate. We will honor our winner for Home Care LNA of the Year at the Annual Meeting scheduled for June 13th at Church Landing in Meredith, NH. Nominations for LNA of the Year are due by May 23rd. The winner will be notified by June 2nd. They will be asked to attend the Annual Meeting free of charge to receive their award.
Home care agencies know that Nursing Assistants are hard working, caring individuals who serve clients and their families everyday and regard this service as more than just a job. They are here to make a difference. Nursing Assistant Day will give providers the opportunity to reward those individuals who have committed themselves to a career in caregiving.
Each provider should select and nominate one Nursing Assistant of the Year from their staff; the criteria are being left to each agency. Some suggestions to consider when selecting your nominee are: most outstanding performance on a continuous basis; most reliable – someone who can always be counted on to be there and give 100 percent; seniority/loyalty; an employee held in high regard by peers as well as management; an employee who has done something extraordinary for a client; an employee who exemplifies high standards held by your agency; or any other criteria you choose. This is your chance to recognize and reward what you most value in your Nursing Assistants.
Guest of the winning LNA may attend the Annual Meeting at the regular member rate.
