Ponderosa Marching Band 2014
“Band Camp” @ Ponderosa HS
Dear Ponderosa HS Marching Band & Color Guard member:
Congratulations for wanting to be a part of the Ponderosa HS Marching Band and Color Guard! The marching band camp dates have been determined and are listed below— please reserve these dates now with your family so that you may attend all days. If there is a conflict now, please call your drum major, Josh Webb (530.313.0331), or if you are in the Color Guard, Mrs. Gunderson (530.957.8212) to let them know. In order for us to be as successful as we can be, we ask that you come to the July camp in good playing shape with the “opener” (Life) memorized and with the items listed below. You will receive the music before school is out or it will be mailed to you if you are an incoming freshman. Your section leaders will contact you to schedule at least two sectionals over the summer to work on marching basics, the field show music and to enjoy some social activities.

1. Monday, June 2: Leadership ONLY 9:30 am – 2:30 pm
2. Tuesday, June 3: All members: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (lunch provided)
3. Wednesday, June 4: All members: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (lunch provided)
4. Tuesday, July 29: All members 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
5. Wednesday, July 30: All members 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
6. Thursday, July 31: All members 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
7. Monday, August 4: All members 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
8. Tuesday, August 5: All members 3:00–8:00 pm
What to bring:
Lunch, snacks, water bottle or large jug filled with ice/water, a well cleaned and lubricated instrument, extra reeds, flip folder (the thing that holds the music- get at least ten pages), lyre (music holding thingy that attaches to your instrument), music, tennis shoes, pencils, notebook, binder, sun block, hat, sunglasses, comfortable clothes to be physically active in.
