An ASUCD Senate Resolution to express its sincere appreciation to Geoff Straw for his noteworthy contributions to the Associated Students University of California, Davis (ASUCD) as ASUCD Interim Business Manager and ASUCD Unitrans General Manager.

WHEREAS, Straw has been an integral member of ASUCD Unitrans, serving as General Manager for over seven years while managing all aspects of the successful fixed-route transit operation, including, but not limited to, leading 15 career staff members and 250 undergraduate student employees, managing long-range oversight, and working in tandem with the City of Davis and several UC Davis campus departments, and,

WHEREAS, Straw concurrently served as ASUCD Interim Business Manager, overseeing an organization with an $11 million annual operating budget and 800 employees while providing financial insight to its commercial Unit directors as well as the three branches of student government; and,

WHEREAS, Straw has consistently contributed to the efficiency and success of ASUCD, its commercial units, and the strength of its fiscal foundation.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the ASUCD expresses its sincere gratitude for Geoff Straw’s noteworthy accomplishments and wishes him success and good wishes in the coming years.
