Legacy Charter School (LCS) is a public charter school located in Greenville's West End. The West End is the Upstate's newest story of urban renewal — a renaissance that has brought about the Greenville Drive Baseball stadium, new shops, restaurants and condominiums, the SC Governor's School for the Arts, and upgraded streets and lighting. It's also home to the Sterling community, a historically relevant neighborhood in Greenville.

Minimum Qualifications: Legacy Charter School seeks an energetic and innovative leader to serve as

Middle School Principal and to include (1) Master’s degree; 2) Valid South Carolina principal’s certificate; 3) Three or more years of administrative experience; 4) TAP certification preferred but not required.

Job Summary: In addition to traditional middle school principal responsibilities, the preferred candidate would have experience with charter school operations and instructional delivery responsibilities (Title I, professional development, data analysis, budgeting, site based management, human resources) and must be able to collaborate with Legacy elementary and high school leaders, business and industry supporters, parents, local and state governmental bodies and community agencies. The successful candidate must be a dynamic leader with demonstrated ability to inspire teachers to excel in their positions and motivate students to achieve their highest potential. The individual must have a communication style that promotes a collaborative learning environment with the ability to effectively lead, guide, evaluate and direct instructional services while setting and achieving the highest standards of academic excellence. This includes providing each student scholar access to a complete, valuable, meaningful and personally rewarding education experience leading both to and through college. The Middle School Principal will work to nurture strong relationships between teachers, administrative staff, and students. This includes serving as the middle school education liaison to the Legacy Board of Directors in implementing the school's mission, vision, and strategic planning. This position reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for meeting the needs of each student while adhering to all applicable requirements of local, state, and federal agencies.
