Immediate: Sports Director

The after school program at Grace Presbyterian Church, which operates from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Tuesday afternoons is looking for a sports director (minimum age, 18 yrs old).The purpose of the after school program is to provide activates that will be enjoyable, educational and challenging in a safe environment.

Thursday October 3rd to Sunday October 6th The FogLit Festival organizers are seeking volunteers for their debut event. Taking place from Thursday October 3rd to Sunday October 6th, this free, four day festival will feature an exciting lineup of activities including workshops and author readings as well as intriguing events like the Novel Tea, Haunted Saint John, Good Fit Books, Teen Coffee House,Words and Wine and Authors, Ale and Acoustics. Help is needed with set-up and clean-up for the opening and closing ceremonies, events, greeting, serving food & beverages and assisting teens and children. There will be an Orientation Session for volunteersThursday September 19th, 7:00pm in Room 3 of the Main Branch of the Saint John Free Public Library (Market Square). This is an excellent volunteering opportunity for those unable make a year round commitment to an organization.

September 11th73RD ANNIVERSARY OF THE BATTLE OF BRITAIN special luncheon on Wednesday, September 11th at 12:00-1:30 pm when City market Seniors is commemorating the 73rd anniversary of the Battle of Britain. Special guests at our luncheon will be Lt. Gen. Lou Cuppens, retired RCAF Chief, Hon. Col. John Melbourne, and Rick Watters, CWO of 410 (City of Saint John) Squadron and our own local historian, Harold Wright. October 19thHARVESTING THE ARTS FESTIVALThe tenth anniversary of the festival is being celebrated Saturday, October 19th. Showcasing art in action in a variety of venues and mediums, Open-air markets; - Doors Open event, featuring a variety of venues ; - Free Walking Tours that highlight our city: shop, eat, work, play, history, and public art; - Boardwalk Oktoberfest as event finale

RESTORE PLAYGROUND. The success of the St. Andrews Community Playground Project relies upon volunteer support. This community playground is in great need of repair and maintenance. The structure was built 20 years ago by an army of people who volunteered their time, skills and community spirit.
