Vice President, Oncology Service Line in Danville, Pennsylvania

The Vice President, Oncology Service Line will ensure the successful development, implementation and monitoring of all oncology programs, services and businesses for this expanding multidisciplinary service line. The Vice President will serve as the administrative leader and partner to the Medical Directors to drive program (clinical, research, education, business) growth and development as well as ensure optimal quality in the delivery of care and service and the achievement of program and financial metrics. Together with the Medical Directors, the Vice President of Oncology will continue to position Geisinger as a market leader in high quality, innovative cancer programs regionally and nationally for key areas and lead the agenda for the Cancer Service Line.

The chosen candidate will possess a minimum of eight years of oncology operations leadership experience in a large integrated health system with a preference of two years of experience leading an inpatient unit. He/She will possess demonstrated leadership skills in executing strategic initiatives and managing large operational portfolios. The preferred candidate will have strong analytical and business acumen skills and have the ability to develop business plans, budgets, and conduct market analysis. The chosen candidate will hold a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Hospital Administration, or a related degree from an accredited institution. Strong experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree.

Danville, Pennsylvania is located in Montour County, which offers an attractive rural alternative to crowded metropolitan living and is a great place to raise a family. With four seasons, outdoor recreational opportunities abound and offer something for everyone, including cycling, hiking, golfing, cross country skiing, ice fishing, fishing, camping, boating. In addition, there are numerous scenic state and national park areas. Montour County offers safe and friendly neighborhoods, affordable housing and a high quality of life.
