GAUGE: 14 stitches = about 4 in. (10 cm).EXACT GAUGE IS NOT ESSENTIAL TO THIS PROJECT.

NOTES:

1. Follow loom manual instructions for SINGLE KNITTING for how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off.
2. Each Block is made of 6 Sides.
3. Each Side is worked back and forth in rows across one long side of loom. Loom is configured into a rectangle to make it easier to hold.

Loom Configuration
Use the following pieces (2) 12-hole pieces, (2) 6-hole pieces, (4) corner pieces.
Connect pieces to form a rectangle as follows: 12-hole piece > 6-hole piece > corner piece > corner piece > 12- hole piece > 6-hole piece > corner piece > corner piece.

Insert 18 small pegs into every hole on one long side of loom - 18 working pegs placed. Note: Use 18 pegs for Knit Sides and Garter Ridge Sides. Remove 2 pegs, one from each end, for Seed Stitch Sides - 16 working pegs. Insert contrast color pegs into connecting holes to hold loom together.

BLOCKS
Knit Side (make 6, one in each color)
Cast onto all 18 working pegs.
Knit until piece measures 41/2 in. (11.5 cm) from beginning.
Bind off.

Garter Ridge Side (make 6, one in each color)
Cast onto all 18 working pegs.
Rows 1-5: Knit Row 6: Purl.
Rows 7-30: Repeat Rows 1-6 four more times.
Rows 31-35: Knit.
Bind off.

Seed Stitch Side (make 6, one in each color)
Cast onto 16 working pegs.
Row 1: *Knit 1, purl 1; repeat from * across.
Repeat Row 1 until piece measures 4 1/2 in. (11.5 cm) from beginning.
Bind off.

FINISHING
With yarn needle provided with loom, and using one Side of each color on each Block, sew 2 Knit Sides alternately to 2 Garter Ridge Sides to make a strip. Sew ends of strip to make a ring. Fit ring around one foam block. Pin, then sew a Seed Stitch Side to each open end of Block. Repeat to cover remaining Blocks.
