Saturday
Needle Felting – Embellish clothing
Instructor: Kathy Giroux
9:30 am-4 pm with a break for lunch
Cost $40 class fee, and includes materials
Dress up a ready made garment (wool or wool blend) with fiber, beads, and embroidery. Fun day, No Stress!
Drop Spindle Class
Instructor: Jessica Dillner
9:30 am – 12 pm
Cost $50 class fee, and includes drop spindle and 4 oz of roving
Limit 6 students
Learn to spin using local fiber and a hand crafted drop spindle.
Create a colorful Rolag with a Drum Carder
Instructor: Rhonda Henning
Will be available from 1 pm – 4 pm, Saturday AND Sunday
Cost $6 per 1 oz rolag, no charge for instruction
Drop in anytime between 1-4pm either day to create a gorgeous fiber rolag or multiple rolags, great for spinning or needle felting!
Intro to Wet Felting
Instructor: Jessica Dillner
1:00 pm – 4 pm
Cost $30 class fee, and includes all materials
Limit 6 students
Learn the basics of wet felting, creating a beautiful felted mat, and learn the techniques of incorporating color and locks.

Suggested $5 per person donation to the farm, pre-registration required
Goat milking demo (and try yourself!). Discussion on goat and kid care.

Raw Fleece Demonstration

Create a needle felted work of art! Recipients of these cards often frame them, as they are so unique. Make someone’s day and send a handmade card!
Rigid Heddle Weaving
Instructor: Susan Snider
9:30 am - 4 pm
Cost $75 (includes $10 materials fee)
Maximum of 5 students without looms.
Includes the use of loom and all materials; if you have your own loom, please bring it.
Rigid heddle loom weaving is simple to learn and offers an extraordinary range of creativity. In this workshop students will learn basic weaving terminology and techniques and be weaving in no time. You will weave a sample which will teach different weaving patterns and allow for exploration with color and texture!
Susan will also bring samples of the products they are currently producing at the Mad River Woolery and will have items for sale.
