£19,621 pro rata plus pension, 15 hours, Fixed Term to 31st March 2018

Job description

Port Talbot and Afan Women’s Aid (PTAWA) is an established and well respected organisation delivering support and services to women and families impacted by domestic abuse. Residential support includes a busy 6 bed refuge and 5 self-contained ‘move on’ flats.

Your focus will be to identify and address the support needs of families who are escaping domestic abuse. A quick thinker, you will identify risks and provide holistic interventions in order to provide a high quality service. A compassionate and engaging person, you will be able to empower individuals to achieve their goals.

You will ensure quality standards of residential properties are maintained.

Successful candidates will be based at PTAWA Refuge and Move-on accommodation.
The post is exempt under the Sex Discrimination Act Section 7(2)(e) and is open to women only.

There is a requirement to participate in the 24 hour on-call rota.
