The LORD is not slack concerning HIS PROMISE, as some count slackness,
but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all
should come to repentance.

PREMISE :
When JESUS left the earth after HIS RSEURRECTION, HE did not desert us
and wish us luck ! On the contrary, HE sent the HOLY SPIRIT to give us power,
courage, strength, and boldness to do what we could not do on our own.
SERMON - BAPTISM of FIRE – HIS ANOINTING
JESUS our LORD is the BAPTISER of the HOLY SPIRIT and FIRE.

Matthew 3: 11
WATER-BAPTISM is on REPENTANCE of SINS. On repentance, we are to acknowledge
the LORD JESUS as our SAVIOR. Then we are to receive the PROMISE of the GIFT.
WHAT is the GIFT of the PROMISE by JESUS our SAVIOR ?
Acts 2: 38 - 39
Then Peter saidto them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptised in the NAME of
JESUS CHRIST for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the GIFT of the HOLY SPIRIT.
For the PROMISE is to you, and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as
the LORD our GOD will call.”
Acts 3: 19
“Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing
may come from the PRESENCE of the LORD.”
ON SINCERE REPENTANCE, JESUS SAVES US by BLOTTING OUT our SINS with
HIS OWN BLOOD, so our SOULS are REFRESHED by HIS PRESENCE.
Luke 3: 16 (ABUV)
“I indeed immerse you with water …….. HE will immerse you in the HOLY SPIRIT and FIRE.”
Matthew 3: 11 (RHM)
“I indeed am immersing you in water ……. HE will immerse you in the HOLY SPIRIT and FIRE.”
BAPTISM is IMMERSION is to be TOTALLY DIPPED INTO ~ Greek Word ‘BAPTISO’.
When we repentreceive JESUS asLORD & SAVIOR, WATER-BAPTISM is to acknowledge
- SPIRITUALLYwe are BEING DIPPED into HIS BLOOD & our SINS are BLOTTED OUT.
OUTCOME – we CAN DRAW NEAR to GOD & REFRESHED by HIS PRESENCE.
PROMISE – ‘GIFT’ of HOLY SPIRIT is to ‘DIP INTO’ HIS PRESENCE to ‘SOAK IN’ (SPONGE IN).
JESUS DID NOT ABANDON US after HIS RESSURRECTION & ASCENSION, HE SENT the
HOLY SPIRIT to DWELL WITH us and IN us, to PARTNER WITH us, to be our MATE.
John 16: 7 – 8
“Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away,
the HELPER will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send HIM to you.
And when HE has come, HE will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.”

GOD the FATHER, GOD the SON, GOD the HOLY SPIRIT – GOD in TRINITY
From the BEGINNING has the MASTERPLAN to DEFEAT the ‘Devil’.
JESUS the SON CONQUEREDDEATH & DEFEATED the WORKS of the ENEMY.
Then HE SENT GOD the SPIRIT to EMPOWER the CHURCH for the
LIFE TRANSFORMATION of BELIEVERs & the WORK of SALVATION.
JESUS in Matthew 3: 12 is SPEAKING about the ROLE of the HOLY SPIRIT & FIRE to ‘THRESH’ OUT the ‘JUNK’ of our HEART & ‘WINNOW’ to ‘SEPARATE’ the ‘SELF’- HUSK
So the FRUIT is GATHERED to REMAIN, the ‘HUSKY’ PART BURNT in ‘FIRE’.
- As GOD is A ‘CONSUMING’ FIRE to REFINE us INTO HIS LIKE-NATURE of ‘FIRE’.
The ROLE of the HOLY SPIRIT is as the HELPER – to STRENGTHEN us – be our COMFORTER, our COUNSELOR, our ADVOCATE, our DIRECTOR – John 14: 16; 16: 13.

ALL BELIEVERS are to be EMPOWERED by the HOLY SPIRIT to WITNESS for JESUS.
Acts 1: 8
“But you shall receive power when the HOLY SPIRIT has come upon you; and you shall be
witnesses to ME in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
“And you shall be MY witnesses, both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, even
to the remotest part of the earth.” ~ (NASB). - “to the every ends of the earth.” ~ (GSPD).

And HIS ministers a flame of fire’”
The NT HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM & the ANOINTING is for ALL BELIEVERs for
the WORKs of HIS PURPOSE, while the OT ANOINTING is for KINGs & PRIESTs.

How GOD anointed JESUS of Nazareth with the HOLY SPIRIT and with power,
WHO went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil,
for GOD was with HIM.
The HOLY SPIRIT ANOINTING is to EMPOWER us to be WITNESSES for JESUS,
NOT for PERFORMANCE, NOT for ENCOUNTERs with GODto‘SELF-INDULDGE’.

JESUS told HIS DISCIPLES, we are A ‘LIGHT’ – A ‘FLAME’ that CANNOT BE HIDDEN.
A ‘FLAME’ is to SHINE in DARKNESS, SHINING even BRIGHTER in DEEPER DARKNESS.
JESUS REVEALED in Revelation 1: 12 – 13, 20 - the CHURCH is the GOLDEN LAMPSTAND.
The GOLDEN LAMPSTAND in the HOLY PLACE of the TABERNACLE -
IT was the ‘SYMBOL’ of the CHURCH with ‘FLAMES’ in EACH BRANCH to SHINE BRIGHTLY.
The PRIEST ON DUTY has to TRIM the ‘WIG’ – so ‘FLAME’ will NOT be ‘SMOKY’ –‘SELF’
And to KEEP ADDING on ‘OIL’ to ENSURE the ‘FLAME’ BURN CONTINUOUSLY.
WHO KEEP us A ‘FLAME’ BURNING BRIGHTLY & CONTINUOUSLY to GLORIFY GOD ?
Colossians 1: 10 – 12
That you may walk worthy of the LORD, fully pleasing HIM, being fruitful in every good work
and increasing in the knowledge of GOD; strengthened with all might, according to HIS
GLORIOUS POWER, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the FATHER
WHO has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.
