1. Arizona Western College Radiologic Technology graduates will demonstrate competence at the entry level in the field of Diagnostic radiology
2. Arizona Western College Radiologic Technology graduates will demonstrate the ability to use critical thinking, / Students will be able to perform routine diagnostic studies of the upper and lower extremities without assistance
Students will be able to perform fluoroscopic gastrointestinal studies without assistance. / 1st year Students will complete competencies with a score of 40 or above.

Second year students will complete the Fluoroscopy check list with a score of 40 or above.
·  Fluoroscopy checklist / 21 students passed competencies with a score of 40 and above. 2 students scored less than 40 on competency exams.
100%of the 2nd year student completed the fluoroscopy check list with a score of 40 and above
Scores ranged from 51-80 / When this was discussed at the faculty and clinical staff meeting we discovered that the technologists were not documenting failed exams because they were not required to do it for students from other schools. We educated staff technologists about our required documentation and explained how it will be used to identify students who need remedial assistance.

communication skills / Students who scored below 4 on question # 6 were scored based on their communication skills with patients. The development of RAD 110 a patient care course for the new class will address professional communication in the first full semester.

5. Arizona Western college Radiologic Technology Program will foster an educational climate lead by faculty who are dedicated to student retention, job placement, and preparing the student to be successful in the ARRT examination. / Students will pass the ARRT exam on the first attempt / The program will strive for an average pass rate of not less than 75% on first attempt on the ARRT Exam

96%pass rate on first attempt on the National Registry exam
1 student did not sit for the exam because of a felony issue.
I student failed / More emphasis will be placed on informing students about felonies and the ARRT rules in the information session. A board member of the MRTBE spoke with students about state licensing and felonies.
Researched the failing student’s academic record to check overall grades as a predictor of success on the registry.
