The Role
Reporting to the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager - New Zealand Operations, and based at our only New Zealand site in Highbrook, Auckland. As an integral part of the wider Health, Safety & Wellbeing team, which includes an Occupational Health Physician and Occupational Physiotherapist. You will be involved in providing Occupational Health Services to ensure improved health and wellbeing for our people by focusing on, Health Promotion, Health Risk Prevention, Occupational Health Protection and Healthcare Services to our 2200+ people on-site; working in manufacturing, warehousing, engineering, research & development and office-based environments.
Your daily responsibilities will include conducting pre-employment screening; health risk assessments, annual health checks, ergonomic assessments, administering immunisations and travel vaccinations, co-ordinating and monitoring rehabilitation and safe return to work programmes, injury and illness triage and referrals.
You will enjoy being challenged and your superb communication, negotiation skills and customer focus will assist you to develop and maintain strong and positive working relationships, both internally and externally.
About You
We are looking for an Occupational Health professional with the following skills and experience:
- General/Comprehensive nurse registration with a current practicing certificate is required
- 5 years' minimum occupational health & wellbeing
- Current Accredited Vaccinators Certificate
- Proven record of Injury Management and Rehabilitation
- Certificate in either Ergonomics, Occupational Health or Industrial hygiene preferred
- Be able to build relationships with a wide range of people
- Flexibility and adaptability to manage changing requirements
- Able to foster a supportive & caring environment to assist our people to return to work
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Microsoft office and general computer skills.
- Knowledge of MedTech32 is preferred
