Press and Media Accreditation Policy and Procedures
Chelmsford City Football Club ('The Club') have issued the following guidelines for all press organisations wishing to attend First Team, Reserves or Academy and Youth matches at Melbourne Stadium.
- All media accreditation requests for matches at Melbourne Stadium must be submitted via the 'Contact' form on the Club's official website addressed to the 'Media and Press Office' no later than 48 hours prior to a fixture.
- All photographers attending Football Conference fixtures at Melbourne Stadium will need to ensure that they have a valid Football Conference Photographic Licence otherwise entrance to the Stadium will be refused. The only photographer allowed elsewhere onto the pitch area is the Club's Official Photographer.
- All media passes will be granted at the Club's Press and Communications Officer's discretion.
- All passes must be collected from Club's Security Office window adjacent to turnstiles prior to a game. Upon collection, accredited members of Press will be required to enter their details on the signing-in sheet before they will be given a match ticket or a designated Press Pass which will enable them to gain admission to the Stadium. If there is insufficient seating in the Club's Press Area an allocated seat number will be provided on the ticket. All press passes must be displayed at all times and must be presented to matchday stewards when requested.
- Matchday programmes will be available in the Press Box, located at the back of the West Stand. These will only be issued to those holding the appropriate pass.
- Official team sheets will be brought up to the Press Box around 45 minutes prior to kick-off.
- Access to the tunnel area at Melbourne Stadium is strictly prohibited without express permission and accreditation from the Club's Press and Communications Officer. Any member of the Press found in the tunnel area without the correct identification and accreditation can expect to be moved back to the Press Box. Failure to do so may result in ejection from the Stadium.
- Following the game, and once the crowd has cleared, written media and radio interviews will take place outside the tunnel area.
- The Club players are only admitted to talk to the media by prior arrangement. Requests for interviews are to be approved by the Club's Press and Communications Officer. All Chelmsford City players will attend post match press conferences at the First Team Manager's discretion only.
- TV interviews for rights holders can either take place in the tunnel area or at pitch side. The relevant accreditation must be shown.
- The visiting team's Press Officer will be granted access to the dressing room area to look after the visiting media requirements. If the visiting Club have travelled without a Press Officer, the visiting team's manager will be brought out to meet the media. However, the Club is unable to grant any requests for visiting team players as these are obviously subject to that Club's rules and regulations and should be directed through the visiting Club's Press Officer. We regret we are unable to make these arrangements in their absence.
Press and Media Interviews (Non-match days)
- All media requests for interviews regarding footballing and non-footballing matters must be made in writing via e-mail through the Club's Press and Communications Officer.
- Requests for player and or coaching staff interviews will only be granted after acceptance by the First Team Manager. Unsolicited interviews are not to be undertaken with or by any member of the playing and or coaching staff.
- Requests for non-footballing staff will be granted at the discretion of the General Manager and or relevant department head.
- Pre-match press conferences will normally be held on a Thursday prior to a Saturday match and on a Monday ahead of a midweek fixture. Exact times and locations will be confirmed via email ahead of this. Club players will attend press conferences at the First Team Manager's discretion.
- The Club reserves the right to refuse entry to press conferences should this be deemed in the Club's interest.
