SENIORS:
1) Seniors need to return your pink Parchment form ASAP. Transcripts will not be processed until those are turned in.
2) Seniors planning to attend Blue Ridge in the fall, please stop by Mrs. Wangler's office to sign up for placement testing. Dates and times for testing are posted on the bulletin board outside room 25. Spots are limited, so sign up today!

3) IT’S TIME TO VOTE FOR SENIOR SUPERLATIVES!! In case you don’t know what this is, it is where you vote for the members of the senior class that you think is the Cutest, Smartest, Most likely to succeed and much more. There is a Google form LINK on the SDHS home page. Voting is open through Friday Feb. 10th. You can also go to https://goo.gl/RfCsZJ. Make sure you take time to do this!
STUDENTS:
1) The Envirothon will be meeting every Monday and Thursday at 3:15 in the library until further notice. Please feel free to stay after and participate.
2) Attention all students that plan to attend PROM: Augusta Cleaners in Waynesboro gives SDHS money for every dress that is purchased and every Tuxedo that is rented to be used toward our After Prom Party. SO....if you plan to attend Prom and need something to wear PLEASE check them out!!
3) SOPHOMORES! Jostens will be here on Feb. 15 during lunches to take ring orders and will also be here after school until 6 pm to meet with your parents should they have questions or want to see the rings. If you missed the meeting yesterday, stop by the office for a ring packet.
4) The Military ASVAB will be on February 28 at 8:15. Please sign up in the counseling office if you are interested in taking this free test that helps explore career options. The test is not a commitment to the military.
5) Want to do something special for your Valentine? Valentine’s day is next Tuesday, Feb. 14 and the National Honor Society is selling carnations! All you have to do is purchase your valentine a flower at lunch and then on Valentine’s day it will be delivered for you! Cost is $1.00.
6) ALL FORENSICS MEMBERS need to see Mrs. Bussey today.
7) YADAPP is introducing a “Girls Only” Zumba and dance exercise class after school one day a week. We will be having an interest meeting Friday morning at 8 am in Ms. Walsh’s room (36). If you want to gain power and have fun without judgment, come dance with us!

1) 2017-18 Governor’s School applications are now available on the SVGS website. The deadline is Feb. 20.
COLLEGE VISITS:
All college visits are held during Cougar Return and is open for all Juniors & Seniors. This is an excellent opportunity for all interested students to ask questions and learn more about the application process, student life, courses for students and much more!! This is also an excellent way to make the great first impression on the admissions counselors of the college you are interested in applying to.
Students must request a pass from Mrs. Halterman in the Counseling Office to attend the visit. Passes are to be requested the week prior to the visit and NO passes will be issued the day of the visit.

UPCOMING VISITS – OPEN TO JUNIORS AND SENIORS:
DETENTION Begins at 3:20 and runs until 4:00 pm No Detention on Mondays and Fridays.
