Missions & OUTREACH

We are called to be the hands and feet of Christ in the world. Opportunities to serve and be involved are listed on the Missions & Outreach bulletin board outside the chapel. Check it out! Reach out to the contact listed and take a commitment card. Contact Linda Ramsey for more information:

FISH of EAST AURORA ~ the food collection item for the month of June, is boxed/canned potatoes.

Providing fresh healthy fruits and vegetables has been a priority at FISH. They are always appreciative of any donations of these items.

Baker Church will be collecting empty prescription vials once again. These empty vials will be sent to Ohio to be sterilized and then shipped to Africa and other developing countries. The vials need to be empty, have a lid and ALL LABELS REMOVED. Please put them in the designated box in the SAME entrance.

CITY MISSION NEWS ~ THANK YOU for all of your donations of flip flops so far! We will continue collecting men’s and women’s flip flops, sizes large and extra-large, for the rest of May and all of the month of June.

Baker… a praying church

This week we will be praying for Connie Tsujimoto and her family. In Mark 11:24 Jesus says, “Everything you ask for in prayer will be yours, if only you have faith.”

Respite care

We are happy to announce that we are adding a second day each month starting July 13th. Respite Care will now be held on the 2nd Thursday and 4th Wednesday of the month. We always welcome new volunteers and guests.

Faith & Friendship

We will have a picnic on Monday, June 5th at 11:00 am at the home of Lynn Carlson. Her address is 111 Roycroft Circle in East Aurora. Lynn will supply hot dogs and hamburgers. Please bring a dish to pass. We always welcome new faces!

Jumble sale

The POD is here for Jumble Sale items. We cannot accept - baby furniture, TV’s, large appliances, sofas, computer equipment, holiday decorations and books.

HELP NEEDED!!! We will be unloading the POD and bringing items to Frantz Hall on Monday, June 5th at 6:30 pm. Many hands make light work and would be very much appreciated!

Wheelchair ministry

We will start our Wheelchair Ministry the 3rd Sunday of the month during June through September for the residents of Absolut Care. We will wheel residents to church and back on Sunday mornings. We need volunteers to help transport them. Please call Lynn Carlson at 472-5387 to help us in this important ministry!
