Inallcircumstances,atemporaryoremergencyrelocationofaprogrammustalwaysbeapprovedbyEEC.

Background

IntheeventalicenseeisforcedorrequiredtotemporarilyrelocatealicensedSmallGroupandSchoolAgeand/orLargeGroupandSchoolAgeprogramduetoanemergencyoratemporarylossofspace,thelicensee mayapplyforaTemporary/EmergencyRelocationlicense.ThisTemporary/EmergencyRelocationlicensemaynotexceedten(10)weekswhichwilllimitthelengthofatemporarylicenseyetaccommodatefor varyingtown/cityschoolcalendarsfor publicschool summer vacations.

The followingconditions maybe reasonfor temporarilyrelocating aprogram:

• Aprogrammayoccupyspaceinapublicschoolandberequiredtomoveoutofthe designated spaceduringpublic schoolsummervacation.
• Aprogrammayexperienceanemergency situationthatresultsindamagefromafire,tornado,flood oranother type of natural ormanmade disaster.
• A programmayneed sudden renovations.

RequiredDocumentation

Insuchcasesinwhichitisnecessarytotemporarilyrelocateaprogram,thelicenseeisrequired, priorto the move, to immediatelynotifyEECand submit the following:

• A new applicationthatreflects the newaddress location
• Requiredinspections
• IPMplan
• Designation ofAuthority
• Indoor/Outdoor Space Sketch
• Changes to theHealth Carepolicy
• Changes to theHealth Care Agreement
• Changes to theEmergencyContingencyplan
• A new Staff Schedule
• A new Staff RecordsChecklist(if applicable).

Please note: AnEEC application fee is not required for the Temporary/EmergencyRelocationlicense.

Ifthelicenseemakesthedeterminationthatthetemporaryrelocationwillextendbeyondten(10) weeks, the licensee must immediatelycontactEECand submit the following:

• A new applicationfor aProvisionallicense with the relevant fee
• A writtenplanthatspecifies the purpose/reason forthemove
• How longthe program intends to operate in thenew space
• The projecteddate ofreturn to the originallocation
• How the projecteddate of return was determined.
