*Steps should be completed ASAP. UNG will close MOWR at UNG campus when at capacity.

1 / Find out your unweighted academic GPA. If unweightedacademic GPA > or = 3.25 then you may continue process. / Calculate SS, Sci, M, Eng, F.lang. without any bumps for AP or honors.

2 / Get info on applying and MOWR imp dates by signing up on our Remind 101 class. / text to 81010 and send @mowrgStandard text rates apply. May sign up via email too.(parents may sign up too)
3 / If you already have a qualifying SAT or ACT score and score has been sent to the UNG, then skip to #8. / ACT: 20 Composite, 20 Eng, 18 MathOR SAT: 26 Rdg, 480 Math PLUS a composite min. If you are unsure email
4 / Apply to take 2016 Nov. or Dec. SAT and/ or Dec ACT (Approx. $57)or use a waiver (We suggest you try both tests if you haven't taken before.) Make sure you check "Send scores to UNG" in ACT or SAT sign up process. / If you qualify for free or reduced lunch, see your high school’s SSOfficeto check if you qualify for waivers for the SAT or ACT.
5 / Complete SAT or ACT practice tests: /
6 / Take SAT or ACT. If you have a qualifying score for UNG go to #8.
7 / Sign up and take theiSAT or iACT at UNG ($80 each) until goal is met. These tests usually come back within 3 days but scores are only valid for UNG acceptance OR you may continue to take regular SAT/ACT until goal is met. See HS Student Services Office (SSO) to sign up for iSAT / iACT. /
8 / Fill out: Paper UNG application
AND write MOWR over the top of the application. /
9 / Fill out: MOWR participation agreement
Make sure your proposed MOWR selections meet your graduation requirements. /
10 / Turn the following in to MOWR rep at HS or SSO office. UNG PAPER application (with MOWR @ top) MOWR participation agreement Copy of driver's license or Birth Certificate
(Driver’s license must have 2 years of validity left)
11 / Complete GAFUTURES application online; your counselor willbe notified to complete a portion of the application AFTER you submit. /
12 / Contact UNG MOWR representative to discuss schedule and availability of class(es). Classes are first accepted/first scheduled.
Make sure your GAFUTURE UNG classes match your UNG schedule. /
13 / When OFFICIAL notification comes from UNG, set up your UNG email account, take Orientation modulessend Confirmation of Acceptance form to UNG. ALL information will come to you via UNG email.
14 / YOU DO NOT pay money to attend MOWR UNG classes. Email UNG MOWR rep regarding any correspondence asking for money. /
15 / Confirm that your HS schedule has 2 periods for each class scheduledwith UNG.
16 / Send copy of your immunization form - by the end of summer - may scan / email to /
17 / YOU ARE OFFICIAL. On CampusMOWR UNG follows UNG’s calendar not Hall County. / Continue to check UNG website and your UNG email for updates.
  • IMPORTANT: If you have not received qualifying UNG admission scores by Feb 1, skip to step 8 and complete through step 10. Complete all once accepted.
