Net licence (to make, repair or sell net)

In accordance with the NT Fisheries Act a person shall not sell net, make or repair net or be in possession of net material from which fishing nets may be, but have not been made, unless he or she holds a Net licence.

As the submitted form is a legal document all details on the form must be provided.

Incomplete applications will not be processed.

You are required to:

  1. Correctly complete and sign the application.
  2. Proof if identity of the applicant.
  • Individual person – photographic identification eg drivers licence or passport
  • Company or Corporation – copy of Certificate of incorporation provided by Australian Security and Investment Commission.
  1. NT Water Police Section will contact the applicant to arrange a suitable time to inspect the premises where the nets are to be made, repaired or stored.

Please ensure that any of the above items that are applicable to your application are supplied with the application. Incomplete applications will not be processed and will be returned to you.
