PerformanceFactors
Use thefollowing ratingscale to rate employee onperformance in conducting day-to-day work.
Performance factors areorganized to support the University of AlaskaFairbanks’ mission and values.UnderPerformance Factor VII,include thetop 3-5 essential job factorsthat are specific to thejob dutiesof the employee or related to the employee’saccomplishments. Eachfactorcanearn up to 5 ratingpoints. Bothemployee and supervisormay provide comments. Final formshould be completed jointlybetweenemployee and immediate supervisor. Descriptions of each of the performance factors areincluded in the attachedPerformance Factors Definitions.

Performance FactorDefinitions
The performanceappraisal formhas theemployeeandthesupervisor rates theemployee’s performanceinconductinghis/her day-to-daybusiness.The followingset of definitions explains themeaningassociatedwitheach of theperformancefactors. Usingthesedefinitions as a guidetoscoringwill helpfocus andstandardizescoringconsistency.Comments arerequiredtosupport ratings.
1.Skilland Clarity:Expresses ideas clearly,bothwrittenandoral; succinctlyexplainsconcepts toothers;provides balancedfeedback; demonstrates sensitivitytothecommunicationneeds of others; listenswell.
