BELLEVUE COLLEGE WELLNESS CENTER PHOTO CONTEST RULES
Purpose
The purpose of this contest is to display photographs taken by Bellevue College students, staff, or faculty during their outdoor adventures. Our goal is to find photos that best express the beauty of the natural environment and the exhilaration and serenity of outdoor activities.
Contest Rules
1. Each entry must be the work of the person submitting the photo, and a signed entry form is required for each entry.
2. Entrants must be current students, staff, or faculty of Bellevue College.
3. Entries must be submitted as an 8x10in or 8x12in print. Do not frame or matte entries. Write your name on the back of your photo. Submit prints to the Wellness Center during open hours (9:00AM – 11:30AM).
4. A digital image of each entry must also be submitted. Images should be saved as jpg files and made approximately 2400 pixels in the longest dimension (300 dpi at 8 inches would be the same). Digital images must be emailed to . Please include your name and “Photo Contest Entry” in the subject field.
5. All entries must be outdoor photos and outdoor activities. Some examples of this would include images that embrace the beauty of our natural environments (picture of a mountain range), images of people embracing the adventure (picture of people hiking), and images of outdoor gear based activities (picture of your tent at your favorite camping spot).
6. Each entrant is asked to please limit the total number of entries to 2. Titles and captions for photos should be included.
7. Bellevue College Wellness Center assumes no responsibility for submission. All entries agree Bellevue College Wellness Center has the right to use, without further compensation, the photographs for promotion, publication and display.
7. Entries will be juried for voting and display based on appeal, content, and representation of the outdoors and outdoor activities.
8. Selected entries will be on display for voting Feb 22, 24 & 26, 2016 during Wellness Center Hours (9:00AM – 11:30AM). PE department staff will vote for 1st and place winners. Students, staff, faculty, and community can vote for 2nd and 3rd place winner.
9. The winning entries will be announced on the afternoon of Feb 29, 2016.
10. The winning photos will be enlarged for display in the G building and prizes will be awarded.
11. The deadline to turn in entries is Feb 17, 2016.
