Dear Students & Guidance Departments:
The Members of The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Pi Kappa Kappa Chapter (Sicklerville, NJ), would like to provide graduating high school seniors the opportunity to apply for our Annual Scholarship award. The award will be provided to African American students who have demonstrated the principals of our fraternity, which are Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance and Uplift.
We are a national fraternity founded in 1911 on the campus of Howard University. Our purpose is to provide and promote community service in the African American community. Some of the goals of our scholarship committee are to address the African American high school and college drop out rate, improve the number of African Americans attending college, assist in the preservation of African American Colleges and Universities, and provide financial incentive for students with a desire to attend a college or university.
Applicants are encouraged to submit their completed application to the committee prior to May 1, 2009.
We truly hope that our award may be counted as one of many awards awaiting you in the future.
Sincerely yours,
Harold J Hill
Chairman, Scholarship Committee
