Deputy Manager: Medical and Dental Professions Board
Paterson grade D1
Remuneration package: R506, 155 per annum (Plus Housing and Medical Allowance)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Administration
3 yearsoperational experience in a relevant field.
1 year supervisory experience will be preferred.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Support the Board Manager –Medical and Dental Professions Board with strategy development;
Plan and compile meeting schedule towards the end of the year in collaboration with all stakeholders and circulate to stakeholders for planning purposes;
Report policies requiring reviewal and/or development and support with development if required;
Provide guidance and advice on ethical matters relating to, but not limited to, accreditation of education and training, Professional Practice, functions and functioning of the Board/Committees;
Support the standards generating processes and the education and training quality assurance (ETQA) functions of the Board, in conjunctions with the Education office;
Assist, guide, monitor the budget, keeping records and overseeing of examination processes within the administration of Board;
Coordinate administrative and logistical support prior to and during meetings of the Board and Board Committees;
Oversee and guide preparation and submission of documentation;
Provide input and items for Executive Committee of Council and Council meetings;
Support, informing and training of staff members on policy development and existing rules, regulations and other legislation;
Contribute to gathering of information required for internal and external reporting purposes;
Support annual report preparation on activities of Professional Board and Committee structures;
Undertake research in collaboration with relevant stakeholders on various functions of the Professional Board(s);
Ensure adherence to the HPCSA policies, procedures, and relevant legislation;
Explore opportunities for development of Professions and make recommendations when required..
