TITAN Inter-Club Council Constitution
PREAMBLE
We, the clubs of West Forsyth High School recognize that club activity is an integral part of student involvement and, whereas a suitable organization for facilitating successful clubs is called for by West Forsyth High School administration, do resolve to maintain the Inter-Club Council.
ARTICLE I
Name, Mission, Objectives
Section 1. The name of this organization shall be the West Forsyth High School Inter-Club Council. The
organization may also be referred to as the TITAN Inter-Club Council or TICC.
Section 2. The mission of the Inter-Club Council will be to serve as a catalyst for facilitating successful student
clubs at West Forsyth High School.
Section 3. The main objectives of the Inter-Club Council shall be:
A. To regulate the administrative control of clubs at West Forsyth High School.
B. To coordinate and approve club activities.
C. To provide a communications network between clubs, campus organizations, and administration.
D. To act as a resource for clubs, particularly in the area of organization, problem solving, membership
promotion, and fundraising.
E. To provide a forum for expressing the interest of organizing new clubs.
ARTICLE II
Membership Qualifications
Section 1. The TITAN Inter-Club Council shall consist of a TICC representative from each club to remain in good
standing, and to be recognized as an official club of West Forsyth High School.
Section 2. Each club should select an alternative TICC representative in the event the primary representative is
unable to attend the TICC meeting. In addition to meeting TICC attendance requirements (Article 4,
Section 2), this will allow the club to be kept abreast of current meeting information while ensuring an
opportunity to vote on matters addressed.
ARTICLE III
Officers
Section 1. During the first TICC meeting Officers will be elected and shall serve a term of one school calendar year.
Section 2. The officers of the Inter-Club Council shall include the President, Vice President and Secretary.
Section 3. Inter-Club Council officers shall be elected by a simple majority of the Inter-Council membership.
Section 4. TICC Officers must attend all regular and special meetings. Three absences from meetings may result in
removal from office with a 2/3 majority vote of those in attendance at the meeting.
Section 5. In the event that the office of the President is vacated, the Vice-President shall serve for the remainder of
the term of office.
Section 6. In the event that the office of either Vice President or Secretary is vacated, the President shall appoint in
interim officer until a special election is held to fill that position. The special election must take place
within two weeks of the notification of such a vacancy as noted in the TICC minutes.
ARTICLE IV
Meetings of the Inter-Club Council
Section 1. TICC meetings will be held September, October, November, and December during the fall semester, and
February, March, April, and May during the spring semester.
Section 2. Failure to attend two meetings during a semester will result in the club being declared inactive as
specified in Article IX of the by-laws.
Section 3. Representatives arriving more that ten or more minutes late from the posted meeting start time will
receive a half absence.
Section 4. A minimum of ten clubs must be in attendance to conduct official business. The TICC will wait ten
minutes from the official meeting start time to see if additional club representatives show before
declaring “No Quorum” for the meeting.
Section 5. TICC meetings shall be attended by club representatives (regular and/or alternate), the TICC Officers,
and the TICC Advisor(s). Anyone interested in attending the TICC meetings is welcome.
ARTICLE V
Amendments
Section 1. Amendments to this constitution may be proposed only after the TICC Officers have been elected for the
term.
Section 2. A proposed amendment shall be read into the TICC minutes and documented two weeks prior to a vote
on that amendment.
Section 3. To-thirds (2/3) of the active clubs shall be considered a quorum for the purpose of amending the
constitution.
Section 4. A proposed amendment must be approved by a minimum of two-thirds (2/3) majority vote of all active
clubs.
