Power Point Presentation or Brochure
Your task: To create a power point presentation on aGreek or Roman Mythological God or Goddess. Your God or Goddess will be assigned at random. This project will provide the connection between Ancient Greek or Roman everyday life and how idol worship governed every aspect of that life as well as their government. I, as the teacher, will provide the Ancient Greek and Roman government structure and daily life information. You will provide the information concerning how their Gods and Goddesses ruled over said structures.
Your power point or brochure will be set up in the following manner:
Slide 1 – Name of God or Goddess, picture of God or Goddess, and presenter’s name (your name).
Slide 2 – Map and brief description of life in Ancient Greece or Rome
Slide 3 – Pick and explain one myth behind your God or Goddess
Slide 4 – Explain and illustrate how the people of Greece used your God or Goddess in every day life.
Slide 5 – Give a brief biography of how your God or Goddess was used by government to control its people (i.e. the religious and governmental connection). Include any pictures of interest. Remember the name of any state leaders or officials who where famous during this time period.
Slide 6 – Show one connection between your Greek or Roman mythological character and how he or she was used then and could be used in our modern day society either religiously or governmentally.
The grade for the project will be comprised of the following:

You will have some time in class during the next week to work on the project. Bring all your research materials with you daily. Being unprepared any day will result in a reduction of points towards your total grade. We will spend 1 ½ day collecting the information and 1 ½ to 2 days preparing your power points.
