Design, make, evaluate
Selecting material based on their functional properties – Greek mask / I can research and analyse designs for different purposes –Chn to research Greek masks and designs/ understand the meaning and why Greek masks are worn – entertainment and acting purposes
I can generate an idea through discussion and diagrams- Chn to design their own mask for a theatrical purpose. (Character/scene/purpose)
I can join and combine materials for their functional purpose/ I can accurately measure.-Choose materials for the their mask and understand why this would be used. Create masks using appropriate measurements and function.

Art and Design
Week 1 – Painting a Greek pot / I can use artistic language and vocabulary to discuss pottery and Greek artwork- analyse the Greek pottery and discuss/ teach artistic vocabulary to the chn
I can create ideas using a variety of equipment – digital camera/artefacts/primary and secondary resources/ iPads/chrome books
I can design a Greek pot-Using research and sketches, chn to design their greek pot- patterns/meaning/ use of pot
I can structure from perspective- fore/back/middle ground- identify and understand with chn and adapt designs accordingly
I can create my Greek pottery and develop fine brush strokes- teach technique to chn and make pottery from clay. Wait to dry and paint using acrylic designs and fine brushes.
