POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: Student Affairs Assistant-Data Entry

This position is primarily responsible for accurately and efficiently inputting new applicant and current student data and records.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Data Entry Expert

  • Responsible for the intake, identification, and processing of new applicant and current student documents.
  • Scans and indexes documents using the document imaging management system (AXS).
  • Uses Banner database to accurately and efficiently input and maintain student information.
  • Maintains student transcript records; adheres to TCSG record retention policy including the purge of documents.

Customer Service

  • Answers student inquiries; provides information and assistance.
  • Provides internal constituents with Records Department related assistance.

Administrative Support

  • Participates and assists with projects as assigned by the Records Office or the Student Affairs Division.
  • Assists admissions counselors in the completion of the student application process.
  • Performs related duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma required.
  • Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
  • Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.

SALARY/BENEFITS

  • $26,650.80 annual salary.
  • Benefits include paid holidays, annual leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program.

JOB SUMMARY

SUPERVISORY CONTROLS

COMPLEXITY/SCOPE OF WORK

  • The work consists of relatedadministrative and clerical duties. Frequent interruptions contribute to the complexity of the position.
  • The purpose of this position is to provide administrative and clerical support for student affairs functions. Success in this position contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of student affairs functions.
