DETAILS ABOUT LEVEL 3:
CUSTOMIZED SUPPORT FOR INDIVIDUAL STUDENT SUCCESS CENTERS
Next Chapter provides three types of one-on-one consulting to Student Success Center Executive Directors (EDs). Centers may request multiple types of communications consulting.
Office Hours for EDs
Schedule an hour with Andrea Sussman to discuss your communications questions. That hour can include time for her to review materials before your call. (1 hour per Center)
Strategic Planning That Builds on the Seattle Session
Continue the strategic planning work you began during the Seattle session Andrea Sussman led. You’ll use the model communications plan to finish completing your Strategic Planning Worksheet and/or write a strategic plan. Then you’ll have a one-hour call with Andrea to discuss your strategic planning. (2 hours total per Center, which includes time for Andrea to review your materials)
Custom Communications Consulting
Based on your responses to a few background questions, you and Andrea Sussman will define a discrete scope of support with a deliverable that can be completed in the time allotted per Center. The work might be, for example, updating an elevator pitch, reviewing messaging language or crafting elements of your messaging, or thinking through website architecture. (3.5 hours per Center)
STATE-SPECIFIC LOGOS
Each Center has the option of using a variation of the Network logo with its state name. Next Chapter will create your state-specific logo and provide it in multiple formats.
INFOGRAPHICS
Next Chapter will create infographics using state data to communicate the impact of a Center’s work or the challenges it works to address. To learn more, talk with your JFF state support team and discuss the data that are available from your state.
STORYTELLING
Next Chapter is interviewing Center EDs and writing brief stories about their work. Round 1 of storytelling is underway with half of the Centers. JFF will let you know when the next round of storytelling begins.
The Student Success Center Network is a national network of statewide Student Success Centers.
Jobs for the Future (JFF) manages the Network and provides support to Center staff.
