TURBOMEETING 5.0 RELEASE NOTES

RHUB is pleased to announce the release of TurboMeeting 5.0.

1. Critical Fixes in 5.0

1.  Compatibility issues with Windows 8

2.  Browser based view-only stability

3.  Compatibility issue with HTTPS changes by main browsers

2. New Features in 5.0

1.  Integrate VoIP based audio conferencing with PSTN based audio conferencing. With the integration, TurboMeeting offers these functions:

·  Each attendee can choose to use a telephone or a computer headset to join the audio conferencing

·  Host and presenter can mute and unmute callers individually

·  Recorder can record the entire audio conferencing together with screen and Web cam updates

2.  Improve user interfaces with optimized user experience

3.  Add recording function for MAC users

4.  Increase meeting capacity to 3,000 or more participants in one meeting room.

5.  Add new functions: display remote supportee computer system information, transfer meetings, recover deleted meetings, user name case insensitive option.

3. Free Audio Conferencing Service Changes

1.  The current audio conferencing telephone numbers that support 8-digit access codes, which are the same as meeting IDs, will stop working by March 31, 2013. This will affect scheduled meetings that depend on the current phone numbers.

2.  New meetings created by this version will use the new integrated audio conferencing system. New audio conferencing will use a 7-digit access code, which is different from a meeting ID. Most importantly, an audio conferencing session will not start until a host starts an online meeting. That is, audio conferencing attendees will hear “waiting” music and cannot talk to each other while waiting for the meeting host to start an online meeting.

4. New Development for Planned Release 5.1

1.  Offer toll-free and dial out audio conferencing services. These services will also allow integration of TurboMeeting with users’ own audio conferencing servers so that TurboMeeting callers and users’ conferencing bridge callers can talk together.
