Highlights
- Cards had been sent in a timely manner, which enabled up to date tables to be published
- Web site set up, which was very time consuming, but was worth it
- No team dominated the league, so there was a good spread of prize winners
- Refreshing to have new faces in the league, in particular younger players like Jamie at the Great Western and Jake at the Libby
Lowlights
- Number of cancelled matches
- Cancelled matches being played on competition nights meant some competitions were poorly attended.
- Attendance at the presentation night could have been better, as several teams were not there.
Competitions – entries were as follows:
- Singles37
- Pairs29
- Barbers Trios16
- Mixed Pairs11
- Captains10
- Charity 10
- 10015
- Coxy Cup5
- Mixed 4’s4
- Bottom 4 not played
Team Registration
Two teams (Lansdowne Calne and Fox & Hounds Colerne)were not represented, so it is not known if they are entering teams this year. They will be given until Wed 17th August to confirm they are taking part. If still unconfirmed, then a fixture list will be created without them.
Match Fees
To fund an exhibition night at the end of the season, it was suggested that match fees should be increased from £6 to £9 per match. Proposed by Keith and seconded by Derek, this was voted in.
End of season exhibition
It was suggested that the presentation night should include an exhibition from a professional darts player. This was proposed by Nick and seconded by Keith and was voted in. The secretary will make all the arrangements and will keep everyone informed via the web site and monthly meetings.
