The Sigma Pi Phi Education Foundation is addressing the critical shortage of African American males who are preparing themselves for college and community leadershipinthe twenty 21st century. The urgency of this need is underscored by the fact that African American males continue to fall further and farther behind in the number of students attending and graduating from colleges and universities in Texas.

To apply, please follow the instructions listed below:

  1. African American male applicants must be graduating high school seniors who are Dallas Metroplex area residents.

GPA of 3.0 or better on the 4 point scale

Minimum SAT score of 850 (1600 scale) or 1275 (2400 scale) or 25 on the ACT

Official Transcript in a sealed envelope

Typed essay of 500 words or less on the theme, "My Commitment to My Community”

Letter of recommendation from the school in which you are currently enrolled

Letter of recommendation from an unrelated citizen in the community
