The Texas State of Mind Cookers wants to make this cook-off an enjoyable and memorable occasion for all sponsors and their guests. The food and entertainment will be FANTASTIC! Our “Texas State of Mind” theme will definitely let your guests know they are in TEXAS. We have a great cook team, dedicated to serving your guests and making them feel welcome with our Texas hospitality.

We would appreciate the help of our sponsors and their guests in following the rules of The Texas State of Mind Cookers and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo BBQ Committee:

RULES

  1. You will be issued colored wristbands for each night according to your level of sponsorship. The occupancy is already “cheek to cheek” and “butt to butt”, so we cannot make changes to the wristband count.
  1. To prevent the embarrassment of us asking a guest to leave, we would appreciate your cooperation in making sure you and your guests are wearing the appropriate wristband. ALL SPONSORS AND GUESTS MUST WEAR THE CORRECT WRISTBAND TO ENTER AND REMAIN IN THE SPACE, AND FOR SERVICE AT THE BAR. NO EXCEPTIONS!!! Two uniformed police officers will be stationed at the booth entrance, and will have strict instructions to not allow anyone to enter without the correct wristband.
  1. ID’s will be checked by the officers at the booth entrance. At NO TIME may a person under the age of 21 be served alcohol of any nature. The Show prohibits service to a minor, even in the presence of a legal guardian, under its private club license. No one under the age of 21 will be permitted in the team spaces after 7 p.m. An announcement will be made at 7 p.m. to ask all underage guests to leave. Team members will make spot checks throughout the team space to escort underage guests out of the space. This is a rule of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. We will be in jeopardy of losing our space if this rule is not followed. Guests without wristbands will also be asked to leave.
