JOB DESCRIPTION – MEMBER SERVICES
Title: Administrative/Sales Supervisors: Kelly Degorski & Colleen Leader
Abington Club is the premiere family owned and operated health and fitness club in Montgomery County. The ideal candidate is someone who has a fitness background and is looking to work in a family friendly environment as part of their dynamic member services staff.
Customer Service
· Maintain a neat and tidy reception area and member lounge
· Answer a multi-line phone, routing calls, taking and relaying messages accurately and efficiently.
· Greeting members, guests and visitors with courtesy and professionalism, including escorting them to their destination
· Communicate effectively with members and clients to resolve issues in a friendly, timely and effective manner.
· Sorting incoming mail and processing outgoing mail, including shipping via Fed-Ex, UPS, etc.
· Ensure proper check in of members and guests
· Completing clerical and administrative tasks for various departments during down times {typing, data entry, filing, etc. while continuing to act as the office concierge
· Other duties as assigned
Sales
· Knowledgeable of Abington Club services and offerings, including but not limited to:
o Fitness center equipment and processes
o Spa and personal training services offered
o Swim club membership offerings
o Youth program offerings
o Wet Whistle products and services
· Communicate guest requests for membership, services, etc. with proper departments in a timely manner
· Book Tee times for golf and check in golfers using the appropriate prices as set by the Owner
Facility
· Maintain front lobby appearance and ensure coffee, water and towels are stocked and available for members
· Assist whenever necessary to keep the club clean
· Maintain upkeep of bathrooms (towels, hand soap, etc.)

Marketing
· Understand current marketing promotions and communicate appropriate offerings to members, guests and visitors
· Ensure all visitors and guests sign the Guest Register
· Provide Guest Register and any other marketing tracking sheets to the Membership Director and Marketing Director at the end of each week
· Work with Marketing Director on creating a visually pleasing display case showcasing Abington Club offerings, sales, promotions, etc.
Other
· Continually update knowledge of membership prices, promotions, menus and other activities at the club to better serve members.
· Follow Abington Club guidelines and policies set forth by management when interacting with members, guests and visitors to ensure a great customer experience
