Criteria for Selection of a Recipient of
COCC Latino Program Scholarship 2014-2015:
Award criteria specifies that the recipient will:
- Be a full-time/part-time in-district student entering or attending Central Oregon Community College.
- Demonstrate significant academic and personal motivation.
- Have a minimum 2.0 grade point average.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Have successfully completed at least 3 credits at COCC or completed coursework in the OLI, AVANZA! Programs or a similar college preparation course.
6. Be a participant in the Latino Program.
Applications for Fall Term are due Tuesday, July 15, 2014. A committee will review applications and select scholarship recipients. Awardees will be notified in early September.
Recipients may receive up to $3400 award based on their enrollment.

The purpose of this narrative is to provide the selection committee with as much information about you as possible in three general areas. Please answer these questions on a separate sheet and staple to this form. There is a word limit of 200 words per question.- Financial Challenges: Please explain any extraordinary financial challenges you are facing that make continuing your education difficult without additional financial assistance.
