THE ENVIRONMENT

The first Earth Day activity was held on April 22, 1970. There was a huge demonstration with 20 million demonstrators and thousands of schools and local communities were involved. We had neither the time nor resources to organize such a big event. So it was quite remarkable to see. Now it’s an annual event. I wish everyone was aware of environmental issues and did something good for our Earth.

TRAVELLING

My name is Steve. A week ago, I left for China for my holiday. As soon as I arrived in Beijing, I went to the hotel where I had made a reservation. I was tired, so I checked in and went straight to my room. I unlocked the door with a cardkey, which is a small plastic card which opens locks. After taking a shower and resting for a while I decided to begin my trip by visiting a Nature Park. There were interesting natural rock formations everywhere. My favourite was ‘Lion Hill’.
