Q: How shall I register?
A: Annual Conference 2013 will only accept application from BFA members and special invitees where theenterprise guests are major leaders from various industries. After receiving the invitation, please register via the web link on the invitation.The enterprises who want to participate in the conference need to provide the corporate introduction and individual resume.The invitation letter will be send after the approval by BFA secretariat.
Q: Registration fee?
A: If the payment is made before January 31, the registration fee is 4,800 US dollars (RMB 30,000) for BFA members and 5,600 US dollars (RMB 35,000) for non-members. If the payment is made after January 31, the registration fee is 5,600 US dollars (RMB 35,000) for BFA members and 6,400 US dollars (RMB 40,000) for non-members. The registration fee is 3,200 US dollars (RMB 20,000) for scholars and Delegate B (who will attend the meetings and events after the Opening Plenary). For spouses, the registration fee is 800 US dollars (RMB 5,000). The registration fee covers participation of entire conference events, cost of accreditation, documentation, transportation between HaikouMeilanInternaitonalAirport anddesignated hotels in Boao; shuttle service from hotels to conference venue, exclusive of participants’ travel, accommodation and other personal expenses. The registration fee for spouse covers the cost of accreditation, transportation between HaikouMeilanInternationalAirport anddesignated hotels in Boao; shuttle service from hotels to conference venue, and social dinners, but no access to conference sessions, including luncheons.
Q: Accompanying persons/assistants?
A: Due to limited transport and accommodation capacities in Boao, delegates are not encouraged to bring accompanying persons/assistants. If the accompanying person/assistant is absolutely indispensable, then he/she(only one permitted) shall register and pay the registration fee of 800 US dollars (RMB 5,000). The registration fee for accompanying persons/assistants covers the cost of accreditation, transportation arrangements between Haikou Meilan International Airport to Boao,shuttle service in Boao etc, but no access to conference venue and social dinners.

Q: Payment method?
A: If you choose to make the payment by wire transfer or credit card, the Secretariat shall email or fax you the Payment Notice. The receipt shall be sent to you within 10 days by courier after payment is received.
Q: Registration cut-off date?
A: The cut off date for registration application is February 10, 2012. No registration beyond the date will be accepted in principle.
Q: How to confirm my registration?
A: After receiving the payment, Confirmation Letter, Reservation Form and The Delegate Notes shall be emailed to you within 5days.
Q: What if I wish to cancel the registration?
A: If the delegate can not attend after registering and paying the registration fee, he/she must notify the Secretariat in writing by fax or email. 5% processing fees will be charged if the request is received before March 1,20% processing fees if the request is received between March 2 and March 31, and no refund after March 31. According to relevant financial rules, the registration fee for the current year cannot be transferred to next year.The delegate who is not approved by the political clearancecan ask for a full refund. If the delegate cannotfind a substitute after the cut-off date then the refund procedure will be put in place.
Q: How many delegates attend the Annual Conference each year?
A: There are more than 1,500 official delegates coming to the Annual Conference each year, including government leaders and officials(20%), top corporate executives (55%), scholars/experts (5%) and media representatives (20%).
Q: How far is it from the Airport to Boao?
A: Haikou Meilan International Airport and Sanya Phoenix International Airport are 1.5-2 hours away from Boao by car, and 40-50 minutes away by Hainan Island Eastern Coast High-speed Railway.
Q: How is the ground transportation arrangement?
A: Transportation arrangements shall be provided to all delegates from Haikou Meilan International Airport to Peilan Bridge Registration Centerand from there to conferencedesignated hotels at Boao from April4th to 8th.Shuttle service shall also be provided to transfer delegates from designated hotels to conference venue for conference programs and social events. Shuttles shall run at regular intervals throughout the annual conference.
Q: Working language at the Annual Conference?
A: Chinese and English. Simultaneous interpretation is available at all conference sessions.
Q: Membership?
A: There are three categories of membership: Diamond, Platinum and Ordinary. Members will enjoy special discount registration fee and the high-level members will have complimentary registration quotas.
Q: How to become a member?
A: There are three categories of membership: Diamond, Platinum and Ordinary. Aside from compliment registration and other benefits during the Annual Conference, members are entitled to benefits at other events hosted by the Forum. Besides, the Forum organizes various special functions for members as well. Application for membership is strictly screened by the Secretariat. For those who wish to attend the annual conference as a member and enjoy members’ benefits, please check the “Rules and Regulations on Membership”on then download the membership application form. After completing the form please send it together with other requested documents to BFA Secretariat by fax or email. The Secretariat staff will then process the application and contact the applicant accordingly in 10 working days.
Q: The weather?
A: Tropic maritime climate. Pleasing weather during the Annual Conference. Highest temperature: 35 degree centigrade; lowest temperature: 25 degree centigrade.
Q: About Boao?
A: Boao is located on the eastern coast of HainanIsland as part of QionghaiCity. As one of the most famous resorts and conference centers, it is 80 km from HaikouAirport. Boao is comprised of three tiny islands at the confluence of WanquanRiver and the South China Sea, the largest of which – DongyuIsland – is home to BoaoInternationalConferenceCenter and most of its hotels. The JadeBeltBeach at the mouth of WanquanRiver is unique because on one side of it is the seawater and on the other is the freshwater. In 2002, Boao became the permanent site of the annual conference of Boao Forum for Asia.
