ESTIMATED COSTS AND TEAM EXPECTATIONS

Members will be responsible for payment of any competition. Fundraising may be available to assist with costs.
Costs include:
- Camp registration, hotel, transportation, etc.
- Attire (tops, pants/shorts, shoes, polos, t-shirts, earrings, etc.)
Estimated cost: $850 per person ($200 non-refundable deposit due May 23)
You will also be required to purchase cotton cheer shorts (red and black), hot pants BCG brand (red and black), razorback sports bras (red, black and white), pantyhose and black and tan jazz shoes (elastic on the side). These items will be used for practice and performances.
Team Expectations:
You must be a full-time student in good-standing with the university, and maintain a 2.25 grade point average.
UIW Spirit team members are some of the hardest working students at UIW. To that end, members may be asked/required to perform/attend multiple events a week, including during school breaks (i.e. fall break, holiday break, spring break, etc.) An effort will be made to share the performance responsibilities equally.
Tentative schedules:
Summer: June weekend practice, July week practice before camp, August week practice before school
Fall sports (August – November): football, volleyball, women’s and men’s soccer, and appearances
Winter sports (October – March): women’s and men’s basketball, and appearances
Spring sports (February – May): baseball, softball and appearances
UIW Spirit team members are often asked to assist with in-game promotions, hanging fliers/posters, assisting with game day management, etc.
UIW Spirit team members represent the university, the team, and the Athletics Department both in and out of uniform. Members are expected to follow all university rules and regulations, the Student Code of Conduct, the university Mission, and applicable local, state and federal laws.
