Role Description
Title: / Young Environmentalist Awards Programme (YEA) Intern
Reporting to: / Office Manager
Job Purpose: / This is great opportunity to gain valuable on the job work experience, develop your skills and advance your career options, both in an office setting and with young people and at the same time contribute to raising awareness of environmental issues among young people.
Key Responsibilities: /
  • Assist in the promotion of the programmes and events (sending a mail shot, phone calls, attending promotional events, etc.)
  • Data entry and database management using Salesforce and Excel
  • Prepare workshop materials and crafts
  • Assist in the facilitation of training workshops
  • Follow-up activities (participant analysis, evaluations, quotes, photos, etc.)
  • Assist in administrative tasks
  • Assist with funding opportunity research

Time Commitment: / The successful person should be able to start as soon as possible. This internship is for 35 hours a week Monday to Friday, for a period of4 -9 months, with some flexibility on Saturday.
Personal Specification
Qualifications / A relevant third level qualification/some relevant experience in a youth organisation
Experience & Skills / •Have strong attention to detail (essential)
•Excellent data management skills (essential)
•Excellent communication skills (essential)
•Excellent organisational skills (essential)
•Have an ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
•Have experience in event management (desirable)
•Some office administration experience (desirable)
•Some research experience (desirable)
•An interest in the environment and young people (desirable)
•Be energetic, creative and flexible (desirable)
•Good working knowledge of Excel and Word (Salesforce desirable)
