Cumulus Media is hiring an IT Administrator for our San Francisco market. This person will be the technical lead on the installation, repair and maintenance of our 300+ PC/Mac networked workstations, file servers, laptops, VoIP telephony and user mobile device configuration.

Responsibilities

  • Installs, configures and upgrades operating systems and software, using standard business/administrative software packages.
  • Installs, assembles and configures computers, monitors, network infrastructure and peripherals such as printers, scanners and related hardware.
  • Troubleshoots problems with computer systems, including hardware and software, e-mail, network and peripheral equipment; makes repairs and corrections where needed.
  • Acts as a technical resource in assisting users to resolve problems with equipment and data.
  • Submits recommendations on hardware and software acquisitions, including helping users assess needs and providing justification for equipment and services.
  • Assists with instructing staff in the use of standard business and administrative software and providing instruction or written documentation where required.
  • Assists with the planning, design, research and acquisition of new or upgraded hardware and software; maintains current knowledge of hardware, software and network technology and recommends modifications as needed.
  • Assists with physical network configuration including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Responsible for compliance to all IT policies and procedures regarding documentation and asset tracking.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years prior experience providing workstation support
  • Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, 2010\2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Windows (7, 8 &10) desktops and laptops, Mac OS, Windows Server 2012, Active Directory and various web browsers.
  • Knowledge of mobile devices configuration/troubleshooting (iPhone, Android and Blackberry)
  • Familiarity with VoIPand SIP telephony technology
  • Prefer a working knowledge of Digital Audio Workstation software packages
  • Familiarity with audio/video conference room equipment a plus
  • Attention to detail along with a commitment to quality and confidentiality
  • May require lifting/moving up to 50pounds and climbing ladders and foot stools
  • Familiarity with the radio or television broadcast environment preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills a must
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize your workload with minimal supervisio
