RESOLUTION #16-107

WHEREAS, the Township of Raritan is the owner of the following surplus vehicles and equipment (the “Property”) that are no longer needed for public use:

· 2000 Chevrolet Blazer VIN# 1GNDT13WW9YK145284

· 1995 GMC Suburban 4x4 VIN# 1GKGK26K6SJ765986

· 1984 Ford F250 Utility Body VIN# 2FDHF38GXECA53126

· 2001 Ford Expedition VIN# 1FMRU16W01LB1524

· 2002 Chevrolet Impala VIN# 2G1WF52E429291196

· 2003 Ford Crown Victoria VIN# 2FAFP71W13X131452

· 1997 Ford Ambulance VIN# MG41871

· Toro 32’ Proline Mower Serial # 30157-591040; and

WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-36 permits a governing body to sell property that is no longer needed for public use by public auction; and

WHEREAS, the Township of Raritan intends to utilize the online auction services of GovDeals located at GovDeals.com

WHEREAS, the sale will be conducted pursuant to Local Finance Notice 2008-9; and

WHEREAS, the fair market value of the Property to be sold exceeds 15% of the bid threshold.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Committee of the Township of Raritan, in the County of Hunterdon, State of New Jersey, as follows:

1. The Township is hereby authorized to sell the Property identified above through the process of public auction on an online auction website entitled GovDeals.com.

2. The terms and conditions of agreement that shall be entered into between GovDeals and the Township of Raritan are available at GovDeals.com and in the Township Clerk’s Office.

3. Notice of the time, date and place of the sale, together with a description of the Property and the conditions of sale shall be published in the Hunterdon County Democrat not less than seven (7) nor more than fourteen (14) days after the latest publication of the notice thereof.
