2013 Victorian Short Track Speed Skating Championships.

1st - 2nd of August, 2013.

Venue

Medibank Icehouse

105 Pearl River Road,

Docklands VIC 3008.

Competition times

Day 1 – Thursday, August 1st, 5.45pm to 7.45pm.

Day 2 – Friday, August 2nd, 5.30pm to 7.30pm.

Entries close at 8.00pm on the 18th of July.

GENERAL INFORMATION

This is a closed competition for Victorian skaters.

COMPETITION REGULATIONS – The competition will be conducted under current ISU and AIR competition rules, where applicable and where appropriate.

EQUIPMENT

• AIR helmet covers must be worn during races.

• Race Officials reserve the right to inspect competitor’s equipment before and during the race.

• Skaters must have, and use, all safety equipment: shin, knee and neck guards, ISU-compliant helmet, and gloves, during the competition.

POLICIES AND CODE OF CONDUCT

CODE OF CONDUCTS – The following Australian Ice Racing Inc’s code of conduct will apply. Breach of such conduct may result in being removed from the event.

• Spectator’s code of conduct.

• Official’s code of conduct.

• Parent/Guardian code of conduct.

• Administrator/Volunteer code of conduct.

POLICIES – Australian Ice Racing Inc’s policies, including but not limited to the following, will apply and it is the competitors’ responsibility to familiarise such policies on AIR Inc’s website:

• Video/ Photography policy.

• Social Media policy.

• Member Protection policy.

• Anti-doping policy.

DIVISIONS & DISTANCES

A COMPETITOR’S DIVISION IS BASED ON AGE AS AT 1st of July, 2013.

Age Divisions for Women and Men:

• Nipper under 9. Must be under 9 on the 1st of July, 2013.

• Midget 9 – 11. Must be under 12 on the 1st of July, 2013.

• Sub-Junior 12 – 14. Must be under 15 on the 1st of July, 2013.

• Junior 15 – 16. Must be under 17 on the 1st of July, 2013.

• Senior 17 – 29. Must be under 30on the 1st of July, 2013.

• Masters 30 and over.Must be 30 years and over on the 1st of July, 2013.

RACES FOR EACH DIVISION AND RACING ORDER

Masters, 30 years and over.1500m, 500m. 1000m, 3000m.

*Relay races may be removed from the program depending on the number of entries.

COMPETITION FEES

All divisions: $70.00 for each entry.

The entry fee of $70.00 must be paid before 8.00pm on the 18th of July.
