COMMERCIAL AND RESIDENTIAL GLASS, GLASS SERVICE AND RELATED ITEMS
1.SCOPE OF WORK
The City of Seattle enters into an agreement with HERZOG GLASS INC., to purchase COMMERCIAL AND RESIDENTIALGLASS, GLASS SERVICE AND RELATED ITEMS. The residential glass service and related items shall consist of: double strength glass, clear glass, crystal and polycarbonate clear UV stabilized AR coated as listed in the Price Sheet below. The service and supply under this scope of work is limited to:
- The purchase and delivery of commercial glass, excluding installation
- The purchase, delivery and installation of glass on City owned property where installation does not include or extend to the removal, installation or repair to the frame surrounding the outer edge of the window
- The installation of glass is subject to prevailing wage, intents and affidavits and contract bond, per paragraph 2, below.
2.PREVAILING WAGES - GENERAL LEGAL REQUIREMENTS.
Any installation as the result of this contract issued is subject to Prevailing Wages, Intents & Affidavits. The contractor and any subcontractor shall not pay any laborer, worker or mechanic less than the current prevailing hourly wage rates and fringe benefits for said worker’s classification as set forth by the State of Washington for King County. See Washington State Prevailing Wage Rates for King County, Attachment # 3. Notice of Intent to Pay Prevailing Wages and Affidavits of Wages Paid must be filed with the State of Washington Department of Labor and Industries for approval.
3.TERM OF CONTRACT
The initial term of this contract is a one year period from 06/06/2003 through 6/31/2004. This contract, or any portion thereof, has the option, at the City’s discretion, of being renewed for three additional two year periods, upon mutual agreement of both parties, under the same terms and conditions, except as follows. Prior to renewal, the net prices offered shall be reviewed. Upon approval of the Buyer, based on documented current market conditions, the price paid may be allowed to increase or decrease for the following term.
4.NO GUARANTY OF USAGE
The City does not guarantee the utilization of any contract issued as the result of this Request for Quotation. Any contract issued will be subject to cancellation by either party upon thirty (30) days advanced written notice. The City may award contracts to other vendors for similar products or services. Actual utilization will be based on availability, proximity of vendor facilities, frequency of deliveries, or any other factor deemed important to the City.
5.SUMMARY REPORTS
Upon request, the awarded vendor shall be responsible for furnishing a summary report to any requesting City Department. This report shall encompass City of Seattle usage only showing at a minimum, the following information:
1)Full description including Type, Size and Industry Name
2) Quantity Ordered (number of pieces)
3) Date Ordered and Date delivered/picked up
4) Price per piece
