Final Paper: A Lesson Before Dying

Your assignment:

Now that we’ve reached the end of the unit and “finished” A Lesson Before Dying, it’s time to evaluate our characters and make some claims in writing. Below are two questions that you will choose from to answer in writing. You will write an analytical paper responding to the question you choose in 3-5 BCR paragraphs. Once you choose your question, you will develop a claim, find 3-5 piece of textual evidence, and then analyze your evidence.

The questions: (choose one)

What do you think are the greatest lessons learned by the characters in A Lesson Before Dying? Make sure to explain the lessons learned and how they were both taught to and learned by the other characters.
