Welcome back to BCMS. I am looking forward to a great year with all of you and can’t wait to get started. I expect you to give your best effort each day and never hesitate to ask questions!

Tutoring:

Tutoring services will be offered from 7:15-7:45 daily in my classroom for anyone wishing to receive extra help or more one-on-one assistance. After school tutoring will be Monday-Thursday from 3-5 through the Trojan Extreme program.

Classroom Procedures:

·  Entering the Classroom

o  Other than test days, there will always be a Bell Ringer when you enter the room. First, have your agenda out and copy in the daily work and homework you may have.

·  Tardy to Class

o  You are tardy if you are not in your seat AND working on the bell ringer when the bell rings. I expect all homework, pencil sharpening, bathroom needs, and socializing to be finished by the bell.

·  Grade Reports

o  Progress reports are given at the conclusion of each 9 week grading period by Ms. Wren to be signed by the parent. Please refer to Infinite Campus for daily updates or grade additions. Students may be reminded of grades during class if time allows. If cause of concern arises, I will meet with the students individually during class time.

·  Late, missing, or incomplete assignments

o  Late work will decrease 5 points for each day late. Missing work will not receive any credit and will be counted as a zero in the grade book. You may turn in any work that is missing as long as it falls in the same unit we are currently working on. Previous unit work will not be accepted and corrections may not be made.

·  Cheating

o  I have a zero tolerance for cheating. If you are caught cheating on an assignment, you will receive a zero and the assignment will not be allowed to be made up. Phone calls to parents will be made in the event of a cheating issue.

·  Hall Pass

o  I allow two hall passes per semester. Use them wisely! Please don’t ask to leave while I am in the middle of teaching unless for an emergency.

·  Questions

o  The best way to reach me is through email:

If at any point throughout the year you have questions or concerns, please feel free to call or email! I look forward to hearing from and working with you and your child this year!
