Alden Update November 2, 2015
Hello Alden Families,
We are celebrating the month of EFFORT here at Alden School. Our theme changes every month but we are always about RESPECT. Please enjoy the video
highlightingeffort from Mrs. Madigan’s fourth grade class.
Thank you to all who attended our Math Night to learn more about our new math program, enVisionMath2.0. Please visit the website below to view the video of the evening as well as the resources that were handed out.
Celebrate your Alden student's birthday in a fun new way! If you'd like to purchase a birthday book for the Alden Library in honor of your child's birthday, please look for an email with an order form during your child's birthday month, then return the completed form and $15 check to the Alden Library. The order form is on the Alden Library website under "Birthday Books" as well. After your child selects a brand-new book from our collection during library class, he or she will be the first to check it out and will receive a cake-scented birthday bookmark as well. The chosen book will get a label with their name and birthdate on it and even a picture if you'd like to send one in - and will become a permanent part of our Alden Library collection. Any questions? Please contact Librarian Ms. Garr at
Our Indoor Safety Practice Drill will take place this week. Teachers have practiced what to do with their students during this drill.
Picture re-take day is scheduled forFriday, November 13th.Please hold onto your student’s class picture and send in their individual portrait prints if you would like to have their photo re-taken on the 13th. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact the customer service department at Coffee Pond Photography and Yearbook .
