ITU OLA Update Instructions
OLAs are typically good for a year or two. Then they will be updated and re-signed. These directions describe how to update the soft copies of the OLAs.
The OLAs in this folder are to be used in 2013-2014 and are NOT soft copies of the 2012 signed OLAs. Sections 3 and 10 have been updated since the 2012 OLAs were signed. Other sections have been updated.
The entire OLA should be reviewed and edited as needed. The template contains generic boilerplate added to every OLA by a non-expert in that OLA subject area and were not reviewed at the time these drafts were created. The material may not apply to every OLA. Non-applicable material can be removed from the OLA, not from the Template.
· Make a copy of the OLA template for your working document.
· Remove the watermark
· Update revision history after edits are made. Drafts are indicated by n.1. Change the 1 to a zero to update to the current version: 2.1 should become 2.0, 3.1 becomes 3.0 (i.e., 3.1 is the first draft of 3.0). All final versions should be n.0.
· Verify all links are still active/correct. The template links are not verified.
· Items need to be filled in or marked ‘N/A’ if not used. If it is certain the items will never apply then the text can be deleted entirely.
· Contacts should be updated. These are likely to change from year to year.
· Dates and times should be edited and verified.
· Delete italic instructions. The italics and text are maintained in the template. The template should be updated if changes made to one document are likely to apply to all OLAs: OLA-Template-ITU-052814
· The name in the header identifies the OLA being created
· Filename in the footer is the file name of the OLA being created it should be verified.
· The LAST thing to do: Regenerate the Table of Contents (highlight the TOC and click F9) after final edits are made, as edits may change both TOC text and page numbers.
