Edgemere Retirement Community Hosts Art Exhibition
dallas, May 01, 2009: Works of more than 20 artists were recently on display at Edgemere retirement community during the community’s three day Resident Art Exhibition. One-of-a-kind hand-painted oil, watercolor, acrylic and pastel paintings— from traditional to abstract—were available for guests to view or purchase at the event. Guests at the exhibition kick-off event were greeted by featured artists in the Edgemere creative arts center where the artwork was on display, and enjoyed a wine and cheese reception in the community’s club room.
“There was an excellent response of guests from the surrounding area for the entire three day exhibition,” said Lorraine Kendrick, director of lifestyles at Edgemere. “Comments on the impressive artwork were heard throughout the weekend, and Edgemere was very proud to play a role in highlighting the works of such truly gifted artists.
